Shuttle was offered. Lots of restaurants to eat close by, like Barraca that was only 10 minutes' walk away.

Bastion is the only hotel that gives no info at the airport regarding its shuttle service. There are two Bastions at Schiphol and it's very easy to end up in the wrong one. The room was very basic and quite uncomfortable.

The quality of the evening meal. The quality and quantity of the cuisine would do justice to a 4 or 5 star hotel. Excellent and great value.
No lift. Heavy luggage has to be carried upstairs.

It was very close to the airport and the free shuttle buses came very often.
Just that we were unable to have something to eat as we got there quite late.

Not worth the price -- poor service, chea amenities, further from airport (10 km) than indicated online (3 km). Definitely would not repeat the visit.

convenient to Schiphol airport fora brief stay When in Holland we prefer to stay in the Bastion Hotels, because of location that suits us and are reasonably priced and usually staffed by good personal.
Mix up in Best Western Airport Hotel( which is a Bastion Hotel) Hoofddorp and Bastion Hotel Schiphol/Hoofddorp. Not clearly indicated when you make an online booking.

The only problem I had was with transport. I was only staying at the Bastion for 1 night and had already arrived late due to flight delays, no where in my booking did it mention that I was going to need to take 2 separate shuttles in order to get to my hotel. I got to the 1st stop and noted that the next shuttle was parked outside with no driver, after speaking to reception they informed me the next one should be leaving in 5 minutes. After waiting about 25 - 30 minutes in reception the driver for the second shuttle finally showed up.

When somebody arrives from a long journey he or she wants to drink at the room. Please put more bags thee and coffee at the table
